Lewis Carroll Conspiracy

According to some newly uncovered evidence, it appears that Lewis Carroll was a pedophile. Lewis Carroll is best known as the author of Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass. The British writer and poet loved children, but it may not have been love, rather pedophilia. Through the findings of some letters written long ago, it seems that Alice Liddell (the real Alice in Wonderland) was a victim of Lewis Carroll’s molestation.

Lewis Carroll’s real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. He was a reverand of Christchurch, which Alice Liddell’s father was the dean of. Dodgson and Mr. Liddell were very good friends until Alice was about 11 years old, in 1863. For unknown reasons the two friends stopped all communications. Since, it has been speculated that Rev. Dodgson had molested, or at the very least, had innapropriate relations with young Alice…and it may not have been just Alice. Some believe he touched several children he wrote for.

A letter was found, written from “Lewis Carroll” or Rev. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson to a recipient whose name was scribbled out in violet-colored ink. The letter reads “Thank you for the sight of those pretty photographs, but don’t keep the child in for me — I am fearfully busy — and what could Miss Lloyd have been thinking of to say such things of me? She must have taken some remark of mine about liking children and have said to herself for ‘some’ read ‘all’, for ‘girls’ read ‘boys’ and for ‘ten’ read ‘two’ — such a method of exaggeration is wholly unfounded, and yet she professes to be an admirer of Dr. Liddon. Believe me.”

“Yours very truly,
CL Dodgson”

Dr. Liddon was Henry Liddon, who traveled along side the author and Miss Lloyd was most definitely Catherine Lloyd who was the sister of someone he knew at Christchurch.

Yes, this is very peculiar, but is it enough to say that he is a pedophile? This alone may not be, but there are some other findings in his behaviors that point to the same conclusion. Not only were there other accusations toward him for molesting other young girls, but he had other strange habbits that would also say he was a pedophile. For instance, Dodgson was a very talented photographer, yet he spent most of his time and energy taking pictures of little girls, including Alice Liddell. Some pictures of nude children, both boys and girls, were also found after his death in 1898. The author also hated people knowing anything about his private life and had many young friends, with whom he spent time alone with. Dodgson also never gave interviews, which may have been because he was shy, but isn’t it odd that not even his brothers or sisters spoke about him to anyone outside of the family? After his death, his diary was found with many pages ripped out, completely destroyed or with parts scratched out. The above letter was the only other thing found since his death. The eleven other letters he had written to Alice were destroyed or thrown out by Alice’s mother, Mrs. Liddell.

The fact is that we will never know. Lewis Carroll has been dead for 112 years and we will never have the chance to interrogate him. All we can do is keep doing our research. But where do you stand? Should Carroll remain innocent until proven guilty (which no one but God can ever prove) or should we convict him in our minds? Whatever the case may be, he was a creative, odd man, and possibly a child molester. But who is to say either way?
